Where does the data come from?
Directly from SAM.gov, the federal government's system of record for contract opportunities, plus SBA certification data. GovScout doesn't scrape stale mirrors — searches hit live data.
Who is GovScout for?
Small and mid-size contractors selling to the Department of Defense and civilian agencies — especially firms with set-aside certifications (8(a), WOSB/EDWOSB, HUBZone, SDVOSB) that the big platforms price out.
Do I need a SAM.gov account or API key?
No. If you have a CAGE code, you're ready. Your SAM registration is public data.
What about state and local contracts?
That's on the roadmap: portal integrations keyed off your registered address, so state and local solicitations near you appear in the same feed as federal ones.
Is my data private?
Your account holds only what you give it — email, and the profile you choose to save. Match profiles are built from public SAM.gov registration data.
