Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: email address and a hashed password (we never store your password in readable form).
• Company profile: CAGE code, NAICS codes, set-aside certifications, and state — sourced from your public SAM.gov registration.
• Your content: saved opportunities, pursuit details, notes, contacts, and team membership you choose to enter.
• Billing: handled by Stripe. We store only Stripe's customer and subscription IDs — never card numbers.
• Usage: standard server logs, and Google Analytics (aggregated page-view data) on the marketing site.

How we use it

To run the service: matching opportunities to your profile, storing your pipeline, sending account emails (password resets, team invitations, deadline reminders you've opted into by subscribing), and billing. We do not sell your data or use your pipeline content for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only service providers needed to operate GovScout: a cloud hosting and database provider (United States), Stripe (payments), a transactional email delivery service, and Google Analytics (aggregated usage statistics). Each receives only the data needed for its function. We do not sell or rent personal data. Team members you invite can see the shared pipeline. We disclose data if required by law.

Security

HTTPS everywhere, bcrypt-hashed passwords, signed httpOnly session cookies, single-use expiring links for resets and invitations, server-side access checks on every request, and secrets kept out of source control. No system is perfectly secure; if you suspect a problem, email security@usegovscout.com.

Your choices

• Export your pipeline anytime (CSV, Pro/Team).
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing support@usegovscout.com — we delete within 30 days.
• Cancel billing anytime from the billing portal.

Retention, cookies, changes

We keep your data while your account exists and delete it on request. We use a session cookie (sign-in) and a small counter cookie for anonymous search limits; Google Analytics sets its own cookies on marketing pages.
